New dragon awaiting challenger

Shimmer realizes the same thing and attempts to signal for a temporary truce.

Sirius nods and pauses as well, looking around to assess how badly tangled-up they are. He uses his claws to cut some of the leaves, but there are many more. He looks at Shimmer and makes a shivering motion, using a foreclaw to point at the leaves, wondering if she possesses any cold-related powers that might affect the clinging fronds.

Shimmer nods and begins blowing a steady stream of ice cold water over the plants.

Sirius waits a moment, then begins using his claws to sever some of the fronds that have been touched by Shimmer's breath. He notices that they do break more easily now.

Shimmer continues to freeze the plants with her ice breath until something slimy brushes her tail, she freezes.

Sirius gives her a questioning look as he continues to cut the fronds, wondering why she has stopped.

Shimmer nods downwards, her eyes slightly wide.

Sirius looks down into the weeds, and just for a moment catches a glimpse of something moving. He looks back up at Shimmer, his face conveying an "I-have-a-bad-feeling-about-this" expression. He keeps slashing at the fronds, now thinking that the quicker they get out of here the better.

Shimmer returns the looks and starts breathing her ice again, trying to remain as quiet as possible.

(You'll have to come up with this one. I exhausted my ready supply with landfighter.)

Sirius keeps working too, but then suddenly feels something wrap around his ankle. He abruptly turns and sees something the same color as the fronds, but thicker, like an underwater vine. He grabs at it with a foreclaw, only to have a second vine wrap itself around his wrist. He realizes that there is more to these underwater plants then he had thought, just as he feels himself being pulled farther down into the fronds - which suddenly seem more active than they had been. They begin reaching out and caressing his scales at various points, as thought exploring him.

(So now they have to contend not only with the vines, but with a whole patch of tickling fronds as they're being restrained. I will add in a way for them to get some air.)

The fronds pull shimmer away from Sirius and restrain her likewise. They begin to gently explore her body.

Sirius tries to work himself free, but bursts out giggling as the fronds explore down his sides.

Shimmer squirms as the fronds trace across her exposed arches and giggles lightly as they brush over her toes.

The fronds pull Sirius' limbs out away from his body, and wriggle against every sensitive spot, causing him to laugh and send a spray of bubbles up toward the surface. However, he is able to use one of his foreclaws to begin sawing at one of the restraining vines.

Shimmer struggles as the vines prise her wings from her sides. She begins to laugh as the vines dig into her hind paws and wiggle against her wings.

Sirius keeps sawing at the vine with his foreclaw. At the same time, he notices that the vine holding his tail is far enough up that he can move several feet of his tail-tip. He moves it over toward Shimmer, and begins using its tip to pry at one of the vines binding her.

Shimmer continues to laugh hard and struggle against the vines restraining her.

Sirius' claw finally cuts through one of the vines, freeing that foreleg. He reaches over and saws at the vine holding Shimmer's nearest foreleg.

Shimmer feels him cutting and leans towards him, laughing all the while.

Sirius continues to work, laughing all the while. He feels one of the vines beginning to part.

Shimmer jerks her foreleg, attempting to snap the vine.

Sirius saws faster, feeling his claw slicing inch-by-inch into the tough vine.

Shimmer continues jerking at the vine, shaking with laughter.

Sirius digs harder with his claw, and feels the vine snap under his pressure.

Shimmer jerks her foreleg free and begins sawing away at another vine.
